The Louis Vuitton Pre Fall 2024 Runway

The Louis Vuitton Pre Fall 2024 Runway

by James Nuttney

It’s been a little over 5 months since Pharrell’s debut Louis Vuitton show graced the streets of Paris and now it’s time for Pharrell to do it again, though this time bringing his creativity to the city of Hong Kong.

Going live on November the 30th the collection clearly embraced the beach and the idea of an island holiday. The already sub-tropical environment of Hong Kong was seemingly made more tropical and was elevated by the enormous ‘beachy’ theme of the collection. The water side walk way that the runway took place along was drenched in sand and projections of water which played in seamlessly with theme of the collection.

The clothing which made up the collection was nothing short of magic that created the environment of the runway. The collection featured crisp suits, bold prints, some example of the classic Louis Vuitton silhouette and bombers adorned with Pharrell’s signature “LOVERS” tag across the front. The clothing displayed perfectly harness the curiosity of traveling and bring a sense of wonder into the idea of tourism.

The show was not shot of accessories either, examples of Pharrell’s take on sailor hats and new looks of the classic beret were presented. And how can a Louis Vuitton runway be a Louis Vuitton runway without the famous LV bags, the runway was full of bags each one distinct quintessentially Pharrell.

While hidden under all the extravaganza was a nod to the core purpose and brand DNA of Louis Vuitton, which embraces travel and the promise of traveling in style and security.
